A guide to casino bonus terms

Understand wagering, game contributions, maximum bets, deadlines and withdrawal rules before choosing a welcome bonus.

Read the calculation base first

Start with the amount the wagering multiplier applies to: the bonus, deposit plus bonus, or another stated base. A “10×” requirement means little without it.

10× a €50 bonus = €500 in qualifying wagers.

10× (€50 deposit + €50 bonus) = €1,000 in qualifying wagers.

These hypothetical examples show turnover, the amount staked. They are not casino offers or predictions of winnings or losses.

Check which games contribute

Check the contribution table before using bonus funds: a game can count fully, partly or not at all, and some games may be excluded.

For free spins, check the eligible games, spin value and treatment of winnings as well as the spin count.

Find the maximum bet and deadline

Check the bonus’s maximum bet and the consequence of exceeding it. The bonus limit can be lower than the game’s usual limit.

Claiming the bonus, using spins and completing wagering can have separate deadlines. Do not increase your time or spending to meet a deadline.

Understand what happens when you withdraw

Before withdrawing, check bonus-cancellation rules, unfinished wagering, caps on bonus winnings and verification requirements. Cancelling a bonus can leave other withdrawal conditions to meet.

Check payment methods, fees and limits too. The operator’s processing time and the payment’s arrival time are different.

Confirm eligibility and the full terms

Confirm the qualifying deposit, country and account restrictions, and excluded payment methods for your offer. An advertised offer may not be available to you.

Read the full operator terms and clarify gaps or conflicting figures before accepting. Taking a bonus is optional.

Put the details together

Compare the match amount and its cap alongside the conditions above. A larger percentage alone cannot tell you which offer suits your play.
